Join us on Saturday 9th September for a fantastic Heritage Open Day. This years theme is creativity and we have chosen to spotlight endangered cultural crafts!
This event is all about giving it a go! Have a go at traditional crafts such as stone carving, silver work, signwriting, ceramic sculpture making, ceramic pinch pot making and coil building, weaving, copper bashing, leather work, and sash window repair, all for free!
So what else is there? There’s live acoustic performances from a fantastic local musician, traditional Morris dancing and folk music for you to join in and dance along, and Stockport Heritage Trust will be there to answer all your questions about the fascinating history of Stockport! Stockport Dungeons are also open for you to explore on this day.
This event is part of the Stockport wide participation in the national Heritage Open Day event!
Bring all the family down to enjoy this special day!
Event time: 11am-3pm. Location: Little Underbank.
