On Saturday 11th September, we will be hosting our 2021 Heritage Open Day! From 11am to 3pm, the Underbanks will be filled with heritage related activities.
We have been working with local arts collective, Underbanks Studio, to host a range of activities for all the family. This will include an Underbank comics workshop, tote bag screen printing, chalk floor mural and much more! There will also be music from local record shop, SK1 Records, who will be playing tracks underneath St. Petersgate Bridge.
The Local Heritage Library and The Manchester and Stockport Canal Society will both hold stalls on the day displaying heritage photographs and maps of Stockport.
Stockport Heritage Trust will also be opening up the Heritage Centre in St. Mary’s Church and the Stockport Dungeons. Visit the Stockport Heritage Trust website for more information on opening times and COVID-19 restrictions.
